If 280 J of work is done in carrying a charge of 2 C from a place where the potential is -12 V to another place where potential is V, calculate the value of V

Given :-

Work done to carry the charge = 280j

Amount of charge = 2C

To find :-

The value of V at potential second.

Solution:-

Let the first potential be  V_1 and second potential be  V_2

 V_1 = -12v

Then ,

 V = V_2 - V_1

Now ,

To calculate the potential difference we use the following formula:-

\huge V = \dfrac{W}{Q}

 V_2 - V_1 = \dfrac{W}{Q}

Put the given value ,

 V_2 - (-12) = \dfrac{280}{2}

 V_2 +12 = 140

 V_2 = 140 -12

 V_2 = 128v

hence,

The value of V is 128v .
