Solution :

Let the number be x

We have given that ,

"29 more than two times a number is -15 "

Express the above statement algebraically

29 +  2x = -15

Solving it further

⇒ 2x = 29 + (-15 )

⇒ 2x = -44

⇒ x = -44/2

⇒ x = -22

Answer :

If 29 more than two times a number is -15 then the number is -22
