Given:-

  • Mass of Body ,m = 2 kg

  • Initial Height ,h' = 4m

  • Final height ,h = 4-3 = 1m

To Find:-

  • Kinetic Energy after covering 3m distance.

Solution:-

According to the work energy theorem !!

Work energy theorem states that energy can neither be created or nor be destroyed it can be transferred from one form to another .

Here,

KE = PE = mgh

• KE = mgh

Where,

KE is the Kinetic Energy

m is the mass of body

g is the acceleration due to gravity (9.8m/s²)

h is the height attained by body

Substitute the value we get

→ KE = 2 × 9.8×1

→ KE = 19.6 ×1

→ KE = 19.6 J

Therefore, the kinetic energy after covering the distance 3 m is 19.6 Joules.

Considering, g=9.8m/s^2,

Exact Answer will be,

K.E. (after covering 3m) is 58.8 Joules
