It is given that they are in AP so,

So, there common differences should also be equal...

a1 = 2p

a2 = p + 10

a3 = 3p + 2

$a3 - a2 = a2 - a1$

$3p + 2 -( p + 10) = p + 10 - 2p$

$3p + 2 - p - 10 = - p + 10$

$2p - 8 = - p + 10$

$2p + p = 10 + 8$

$3p = 18$

$\boxed{p = 6}$
