If 2s=18 and 2(s+u)=58 then what is the value of u?explain me briefly

Let 2(s+u)=58...............................(1)

2s=18 means s=9.

Now put s=9 in equation (1).

We get, 2s+2u=58
           2(9)+2u=58
            18+2u=58
              2u=58-18
              2u=40
                u=40/2
                u=20
Therefore the value of u is 20.
