Hi,

If given ratio x : y then it's duplicate

ratio = x² : y²

According to the problem given,

2s / 3t = ( 2s -p)² / (3t -p)²

2s( 3t -p )² = 3t( 2s - p )²

2s( 9t² - 6tp + p² ) = 3t(4s² -4sp+ p²)

18st²-12spt+2p²s= 12s²t-12spt+3p²t

18st²-12s²t= 3p²t - 2p²s

6st(3t -2s) = p²(3t - 2s)

6st = p²

Therefore ,

p² = 6st

I hope this helps you.

Answer:22

p:q=2:3, x:y=4:5

let the common multiple Be (a)

p=2a, q=3a : x=4a, y=5a

5(2a) (4a) +3(3a) (5a) : 10(2a) (4a) +4(3a) (5a)

40a +45a : 80a +60a

85a : 140a
