2 tan A = 1

tan A = 1/2 = [p/b[

h = √p^2 + b^2

= √ 1 + 4

= √5

sin A = [p/h] = 1/√5

cos A = [b/h] = 2/√5

now

(4 sin A + cos A) / (4 sin A - cos A)

(4*(1/√5) + (2/√5)) / (4*(1/√5) - (2/√5))

(6/√5) / (2/√5)

= 3

Alternate method:

(4 sin A + cos A) / (4 sin A - cos A)

dividing by cos A in numerator and denominator

(4 tan A + 1) / ( 4 tan A - 1)

(4*(1/2) + 1) / (4*(1/2) - 1)

(2+1) / (2 - 1)
