2x-1= 0
x=1/2
2 (1/2)^4-a (1/2)^3+4 (1/2)^2-(1/2)+2
2 (1/16)-a(1/8)+4 (1/4)-1/2+2
(1/8)-a/8+1-(2+4/4)
1-a/8+1-6/4
1-a/8+1-3/2=0
1-a/8+2-3/2=0
1-a/8-1/2=0
1-a/8=1/2
1-a=1/2×8
1-a=4
-a=4-1
-a=3
a=3

By remainder theorem we have,
2x-1=0
2x=1
x=1/2
f(x) =  {2x}^{4}  - a {x}^{3}  + 4 {x}^{2}  - x \:  + 2
f( \frac{1}{2} ) = 2 \times   ({ \frac{1}{2} })^{4}  - a \times  ({ \frac{1}{2} })^{3}  + 4 \times ( { \frac{1}{2} })^{2}  + 2 = 0
2 \times  \frac{1}{16}  - a \times  \frac{1}{8}  + 4 \times  \frac{1}{4}  -  \frac{1}{2}  + 2 = 0
 \frac{1}{8}  -  \frac{a}{8}  -  \frac{1 + 4}{2}  = 0
 \frac{1}{8}  +  \frac{3}{2}  =  \frac{a}{8}
 \frac{1 + 12}{8}  =  \frac{a}{8}  \\  \frac{13}{8}  =  \frac{a}{8}  \\ 13 \times 8 = a8 \\ a =  \frac{13 \times 8}{8}  \\ a = 13
