as the formula for the sum of the roots is -b/a,the sum of roots is k/2+1;the product of the roots is c/a,the product is k/2

(a+b)^2-4ab=(a-b)^2

》a-b=((a+b)^2-4ab)^1/2

as you know sum and difference you can solve it on your own
