GIVEN; 2x + 2y=10------(1)
2x + 2y = 6------(2)
add,(1) & (2)
2x + 2y+2x + 2y=10+6
4x+4y=16
4(x+y)=16
x+y=16/4
x+y=4

2x + 2y = 10(1)  \\ 2x + 2y = 6(2) \\ add \: (1)and(2) \\ 2x + 2y + 2x + 2y = 10 + 16 \\ 4x + 4y = 16 \\ 4(x + y) = 16 \\ x + y = 16  \: by \: 4 \\ x + y = 4
