To find, the value of x + y is equa to

Adding (1) and (2), we get

2x + 3y + 4x - 3y = 0  

⇒ 6x = 0

∴ x = 0

Put x = 0 in (1), we get

2(0) + 3y = 0

⇒ y = 0

The value of x + y = 0 + 0 = 0

Hence, x + y = 0.
