If 2x+3y=14,2x-3y=2 find the value of xy

2x+3y=14_eq1

2x-3y=2_eq2

Adding eq1 and 2

2x+3y+2x-3y=14+2

2x+2x =16

4x=16

x=16/4

x=4

Putting the value of x=4 in eq2

(2×4)-3y=2

8-3y=2

3y=8-2

3y=6

y=6/3

y=2

Therefore x=4 and y=2
