2x-3y=14 -- eq.1

5x+2y=16 -- eq.2

multiply eq.1 by 2 & eq.2 by 3 & add them

4x-6y=28

- 15x+6y=48

______________

19x = 76

x = 76/19

x = 4

put x = 4 in eq. 1

2×4-3y=14

8-3y=14

-3y=14-8

-3y=6

y=6/-3

y= -2

ANSWER

Answer:

2x-3y=14__(1)

5x+2y=16 __(2)

multiply equation (1) by 2 & equation (2) by 3 , we get

4x-6y=28 __(3)

15x+6y=48__(4)

adding equation (3) & (4), we get

4x-6y=28

+15x+6y=48

__________

19x =76

x=76/19

x=4

Put x=4 in equation (1)

2×4-3y=14

8-3y=14

-3y=14-8

-3y=6

y=6/-3

y=-2

::(x,y)=(4,-2) is the solution of the given simultaneous equation
