SoluTion:

Given equations :

  • 2x + 3y = 16.....(1)
  • 3x + 2y = 14.....(2)

Adding equation (1) and (2),

→ 2x + 3x + 3y + 2y = 16 + 14

→ 5x + 5y = 30

Taking 5 as common,

→ x + y = 6.....(3)

Subtracting equation (1) and (2),

→ 2x - 3x + 3y - 2y = 16 - 14

→ -x + y = 2

→ x - y = -2.....(4(

Adding equation (3) and (4),

→ 2x = 4

→ x = 4/2

→ x = 2

Pur x = 2 in equation (3),

→ 2 + y = 6

→ y = 6 - 2

→ y = 4

Hence, value of x and y is 2 and 4 respectively.
