SOLUTION

TO DETERMINE

2x + 3y + 2 = 0 is the equation of a line find where it cuts X axis

EVALUATION

Here the given equation of the line is

2x + 3y + 2 = 0

Now we rewrite it in intercept form as below

2x + 3y = - 2

 \displaystyle \sf{ \frac{2x}{ - 2}  +  \frac{3y}{ - 2} = 1 }

 \displaystyle \sf{  \implies \frac{x}{ - 1}  +  \frac{y}{ -  \frac{2}{3} } = 1 }

Hence the line cuts X axis at ( - 1 , 0 )
