2x - 3y = 12 --------(2)
Solve 1 & 2
2x + 3y = 24
2x - 3y = 12
----------------
4x = 36
x = 36/4
x = 9
Substitute x in eq- 1
2x + 3y = 24
2(9) + 3y = 24
18 + 3y = 24
3y = 24 - 18
3 y = 6
y = 6/3
y = 2
Then, x - y = 9 - 2 = 7
