Answer:

x=-1,y=2

Step-by-step explanation:

given 2x+3y=4 and 3x+2y=1

2x+3y=4 eq 1

3x+2y=1.eq 2

making x coefficiants equal

3×2x+3y=4

2×3x+2y=1

6x+9y=12

6x+4y=2

changing sings (elimination method)

6x+9y=12

-6x-4y=-2

6x,-6x gets cancelled

5y=10

y=2

substitute y=3 in eq

2x+3(2)=4

2x=4-6

2x=-2

x=-1

  • Two Equations
  • \sf{2x + 3y = 4 \:  \:  \:  \: ...(i)}

  • \sf{3x + 2y = 1 \:  \:  \:  \: ...(ii)}

\sf\green{Multiply \: (i) \: by \: 3 \: And \: \: Multiply \: (ii) \: by \: 2}

We Get,

\sf{6x + 9y = 12\:  \:  \:  \: ...(iii)}

\sf{6x + 4y = 2 \:  \:  \:  \: ...(iv)}

Now, Subtract ( iv ) from ( iii )

\sf{5y=10}

\sf{y=2}

Substitute y = 2 in ( i )

\sf{x=-1}

Hence,

\sf\red{x=-1 \: \: , \: y=2}
