given,

2x+3y = 6 -eq1

4x-3y = 0 -eq2

adding eq1 and eq2 , we get:

(2x+3y)+(4x-3y) = 6+0

=> 6x+0 = 6

=> x = 1

substituting value of x in eq2

we get :

4(1)-3y = 0

=> 4-3y=0

=> 3y = 4

=> y = 4/3

so, x = 1 and y = 4/3

so x+y = 1+4/3 = 7/3
