and

we multiply by 3 in equation (1)

and equation (2) multiply by 2

5y = 90

y = 90/5

y = 18

put the value of x in equation (1) [y=18]

2x + 3y = 78

2x + 3×(18) = 78

2x + 54 = 78

2x = 78 ➖ 54

2x = 24

x = 24/2

x = 12

Find : value of x ➕ y

x = 12 and y =18

x ➕ y

12 ➕ 18

= 30. answer
