Step-by-step explanation:

squaring on both sides

(2x+3x)^2=(8)^2 (in the form of(a+b)^2

(2x)^2+2(4)+(3x)^2=64

4x^2+8+9x^2

Answer :

2x+3y=8 and xy=4

xy = 4

y = 4 / x

2 x + 3( 4/ x )= 8

2x + 12 /x = 8

2x² + 12 = 8 x

2x² - 8x + 12 = 0

x² - 4x + 6 = 0

the value of x are 2 + √2 i , 2 - √2i

x - 1/x = 2 + √2 i - 1/ (2 + √2 i )

= ( 1 + 4√2i )/ (2 + √2 i ) ( answer )
