Answer:

Value of x is 6

Value of y is 1

Step-by-step explanation:

2x-3y=9. (1)

2x+y=13. (2)

on solving equation 1

2x= 9+3y

x=9+3y/2. (3)

on putting value of x in equation 2 ,we have

2(9+3y/2)+y=13

9+3y+y=13

9+4y=13

4y=13-9

4y =4

y=4/4

y= 1

put value of y in equation 3

x=9+3y/2

x=9+3×1/2

x=9+3/2

x=12/2

x=6

I hope this helps you

Answer:

2x – 3y = 9 .....(I)

2x + y = 13 .....(II)

Subtracting (II) from (I) we get

– 3y − y = 9 − 13

⇒−4y=−4⇒y=1

Putting this value in (I) we get

2x−3(1)=9⇒2x=9+3=12⇒x=122=6

Thus, (x, y) = (6, 1)
