if 2x +3y equals 14 and 2x-3y equals 2,find the value of xy​

2x+3y=14...................(1)

2x-3y=2......................(2)

By elimination

(1)+(2)=

4x=16

x= 4

(2) becomes

8-3y=2

3y=6

y=2

xy=4*2=8
