Answer:

2x +  \frac{5}{3}  =(  \frac{1}{4} x) + 4 \\  \frac{6x + 5}{3}  =  \frac{x}{4}  + 4 =  \frac{x + 16}{4}

Cross Multiply

4(6x + 5) = 3(x + 16) \\ 24x + 20 = 3x + 48 \\ 24x - 3 x = 48 - 20 \\ 21x = 28 \\ x =  \frac{28}{21}  \\ x =  \frac{4}{3}

Therefore value of x=4/3

Let's check whether it's correct or not

2 \times  \frac{4}{3}  +  \frac{5}{3}  = ( \frac{1}{4}  \times  \frac{4}{3} ) + 4 \\  \frac{8}{3}  +  \frac{5}{3}  =  \frac{1}{3}  + 4 \\  \frac{13}{3}  =  \frac{1 + 12}{3}  \\  \frac{13}{3}  =  \frac{13}{3}

L.H.S=R.H.S

hence verified
