Answer:

6

(the numbers are then 12, 16, 20)

Step-by-step explanation:

2x, x+10, 3x+2 are in A.P

=> (x+10) - 2x  =  (3x+2) - (x+10)       [ the common difference! ]

=> -x + 10 = 2x - 8

=> 3x = 18

=> x = 6

Solution:

If 2x, x + 10, 3x + 2 are in A.P.,then common difference of two terms are equal

find the value of x,find the common difference of first 2 terms,and last two terms and equate

x + 10 - 2x = 3x + 2 - x - 10 \\  \\  - x + 10 = 2x - 8 \\  \\  - x - 2x =  - 8 - 10 \\  \\  - 3x =  - 18 \\  \\ 3x = 18 \\  \\ x =  \frac{18}{3}  \\  \\ x = 6 \\  \\
Hope it helps you.
