ANSWER :

First term => 2x
second term => x + 8
third term => 3x + 1

according to formula,

third term - second term = second term - first term

3x + 1 - ( x + 8 ) = x + 8 - 2x
3x + 1 - x - 8 = x + 8 - 2x
2x - 7 = 8 - x
2x + x = 8 + 7
3x = 15
x = 15/3
x = 5

Value of x is 5.
