Given : ( 2x -y,2)=(3, x + 2y)

To find : the value of 5(x + y)

Solution:

( 2x -y,2)=(3, x + 2y)

Equating

2x - y = 3

2 = x + 2y

2x - y =   3   Eq1

x  + 2y   = 2   Eq2

2 * eq1  + Eq2

=> 4x - 2y + x + 2y  = 6  + 2

=> 5x  = 8

=>  x =  8/5

=> x = 1.6

x  + 2y   = 2

=> 1.6 + 2y = 2

=> 0.8 + y = 1

=> y = 0.2

=> 5y = 1

5(x + y) = 5x + 5y

= 8 + 1

= 9
