Step-by-step explanation:

4x -y = 19

+ 2x +y = 23

-----------------

6x = 42

x = 42/6 =7

2x + y = 23

2(7) + y = 23

14 + y = 23

y = 23 - 14

y = 9

x - 3y

=7 - 3(9)

=7 - 27

= - 20

5y - 2x

= 5(9) - 2 (7)

= 45 - 14

= 34

Answer:

let 2x + y = 23 (i)

4x - y = 19 (ii)

We adding equation (I) and (ii)

2x + y = 23

4x - y = 19

__________

6x = 42

x = 42/6

x = 7

puting this value in equation (I)

2x +y = 23

2.7 + y = 23

14+ y = 23

y = 23 - 14

y = 9

according to Question fine the value of

Q. x - 3 y.

7 - 3× 9

7- 27

20

Q. 5y - 2x

5.9 - 2.7

45 - 14
