the given eq have equal roots then
D=0
b^2-4ac=0
k^2-4×2×3=0
k^2-24=0
k^2=24
k=+-
 \sqrt{24}

\textbf{Heya}

Given :-
2x² + kx + 3 = 0 have equal roots.

a = 2, b = k and c = 3

Condition for equal roots

b² - 4ac = 0

(k)² - 4(2)(3) = 0

k² - 24 = 0

k² = 24

k = √2 × 2 × 2 × 3

k = 2√6

\textbf{Hope this helps you.}
