If(3,1),(4,k) and (5,3) are collinear then find the value of k .

According to given sum,


Point A(3,1) , B(4,k) & C(5,3) are collinear. so

Slope of AB = Slope of BC.

$= > \: \frac{k - 1}{4 - 3} = \frac{3 - k}{5 - 4}$

$= > \: \frac{k - 1}{1} = \frac{3 - k}{1}$

=> k-1 = 3-k

=> 2k= 4

=> k= 2.
