If (3, 4) lies on the following equation, then

x= 3

y= 4

Replacing values,

3k - 6(4) = 12

3k - 24 = 12

3k = 12 + 24

3k = 36

k =  \frac{36}{3}

k = 12

Answer:

kx-6y=12

put x=3,y=4 in above equation

then k×3-6×4=12

3k-24=12

3k=12+24

3k=36

k=36÷3

k=12
