 As per the question,  

$\frac{3x}{4}+\frac{5}{6}=y$  ---- (1)  

$\frac{61}{3} - \frac{7}{8} =y$ ---- (2)  

Comparing (1) and (2),  

$\frac{3x}{4} +\frac{5}{6} =\frac{61}{3} -\frac{7x}{8}$  

$\frac{3x}{4} +\frac{7x}{8} =\frac{61}{3} -\frac{5}{6}$  

For LHS, LCM is 8 and for RHS, LCM is 6,  

$\frac{6x+7x}{8} =\frac{(122-5)}{6}$  

$\\\frac{13x}{8} = \frac{117}{6}$  

$\frac{117*8}{13*6}$
