Hi Friend !!!

Here is ur answer !!!

3+√7 / 3-√7 = a+b√7

3+√7 / 3-√7 × 3+√7/3+√7

= (3+√7)² / 3²-√7²

= 3²+√7²+2(√7)(3) /9-7

= 9+7+ 6√7 / 2

= 16+6√7 /2

= 8+3√7

So, a= 8

And b = 3

(a, b) = (8,3)

Hope it helps u : )

Dhinu: its 16 + 6✓7
Dhinu: b=3. .
Dhinu: check again
Dhinu: ans. is (a,b) = (8,3)
tejasri2: OK.....?
Dhinu: pardon me but second last step is still incorrect .. you have still written your final ans as .. (8,-3) ..
tejasri2: tq
Dhinu: you're welcome! :)

(3+√7)/(3-√7) = a + b√7

=================

Solving, (3+√7)/(3-√7)

By rationalization,

(3+√7)/(3-√7) × (3+√7)/(3+√7)

=> (3+√7)²/[3²-(√7)²]

=> (3+√7)²/(9-7)

=> (9+7+6√7)/2

=> (16+6√7)/2

=> 2(8+3√7)/2

=> 8 + 3√7

On comparing values,

8 + 3√7 = a + b√7

××××××××××××××

a = 8
b = 3

(a, b) = (8,3)

I hope this will help you
