Answer: we know that α+β=-b/a and α×β=c/a

x²-(p+2)x-q=0 a=1 ; b=-(p+2) ; c=-q ; α=-3 ; β=2

α+β=-b/a

-3+2=-(-(p+2))

-1=p+2

-1-2=p

p=-3

α*β=c/a

-3*2=-q/1

-6=-q

q=6

∴p=-3 and q=6
