AnswEr:-

Your Answer Is 140.

ExplanaTion:-

Given:-

  • 3/5 th of a number exeeds its 2/7 th of its by 44.

To Find:-

  • The Number.

Now,

  • Let the Number be x.

So,

↦ 3/4 of the number i.e. x,

= 3/4 × x.

= 3x/4.

Similarly,

↦ 2/7 of the number i.e. x

= 2/7 × x.

= 2x/7.

Therefore ATQ:-

↦ 3/5 of x exceeds 2/7 of x by 44.

↦ 3x/5 = 2x/7 + 44.

↦ 3x/5 - 2x/7 = 44.

↦ 3x × 7/35 - 2x × 5/35 = 44.

[By Taking LCM].

↦ 21x/35 - 10x/35 = 44.

↦ 21x - 10x/35 = 44.

↦ 11x/35 = 44.

↦ 11x = 44 × 35.

↦ 11x = 1540.

↦ x = 1540/11

x = 140 = Required Number.

Therefore the number is 140.

SOLUTION

✒Let the unknown number be x

So

{ \mathtt{  \dfrac{3}{5}  \: of \: number =  \dfrac{3x}{2}}}

 { \mathtt{ \dfrac{2}{7}  \: of \: number =  \dfrac{2}{7}}}

✒The question says that,

✒3/5 exceeds it's 2/7 by 44

So,

⟹ \dfrac{3x}{5}  -  \dfrac{2x}{7} = 44

⟹  \dfrac{21x- 10x}{35}  = 44

⟹ \frac{11}{35}  = 44

⟹x = 4 \times 35

⟹140

Therefore the number is 140.
