Let the cost of 1 chairs be x
and cost of 1 tubes be y

3 chairs and 2 tubes costs Rs 1200

3x + 2y = 1200 .....(1). ×3

5 chairs and 3 tubes costs Rs 1900

5x + 3y = 1900 ........(2). ×2

From (1) & (2)

9x + 6y = 3600
(-)10x + 6y = 3800
-------------------------
-x = -200

Therefore , x = Rs 200

3x + 2y = 1200
600 + 2y = 100
therefore , y =Rs 300

We need to find ,

2x + 2y = ?

2 × 200 + 2 × 300 = 400 + 600 =Rs 1000

Cost of 2 chairs and 2 tubes is Rs 1000
