If 3 cos θ = 1, then cosec θ is equal to:

>3 cos θ = 1

>cos θ =  \frac{1(b)}{3(h)}

By Pythagoras theorem

> {(h)}^{2}  =  {(b)}^{2}  +  {(p)}^{2}

> {(3)}^{2}  = 1 +  {p}^{2}

> {p}^{2}  = 8

>p =  2\sqrt{2}

>cosec \theta =  \frac{h}{p}  =   \frac{3}{2 \sqrt{2} }
