Answer:

35

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

a = 3

d = 2

Sn denotes sum of n terms

Sn = n/2 [ 2 a + ( n - 1 ) d ]

So put n = 5

S = 5/2 [ 2 a + ( 5 - 1 ) d ]

  = 5/2 [ 2 × 3 + 4 × 2 ]

  = 5/2 [ 6 + 8 ]

  = 5/2 × 14

  = 5 × 7

  = 35

put the value in formula of sum

formula of SUm

Sn = n/2 ( 2a + (n-1)d)
