Step-by-step explanation:

Explanation

We are given a Quadratic equation 3x^2-px+9=0

So in order to find the value of p , we need to substitute the value of x in this eqaution

On substituting its value, we get

3(9)-3p+9=0

3p=36

p=12

Now we are also given that the roots of the above equation and roots of the equation x^2+px+k=0 are equal

Therefore now, substituting the value of x and p in this equation , we get

9+12(3)+k=0

k=-45

Given

Equation 3x²– px +9=0 ...... ( 1 )

and x² + px+ k=0 ....... ( 2 )

3 is Root for both equation. ( x = 3 )

now sub x = 3 in eq (1)

then

3(3)²–p(3)+9=0

3(9)–3p+9=0

–3p+27+9=0

–3p= –36

3p=36

p= 36/3

p = 12
