Hey!!

Let p ( x ) = 0

Put x = - 3

p(x) = 2 x{}^{2} + 3x - 3a \\ \\ = > p( - 3) = 2( - 3) {}^{2} + 3( - 3) - 3a \\ \\ = > 0 = 2 \times 9 - 9 - 3a \\ \\ = > 0 = 18 - 9 - 3a \\ \\ = > 0 = 9 - 3a \\ \\ = > 3a = 9 \\ \\ = > a = \frac{9}{3} \\ \\ = > a = 3.

Therefore the value of a is 3.

Hope it helps!
