if -3 is a zero of the polynomial P of x = 2 x square - 11 x + k then find the value of k​

Heya!!

Given Quadratic polynomial is

p(x) = 2x² - 11x + k

This Quadratic polynomial has two zero's one is given i,e -3. let the another zero be ß

ß - 3 = 11/3 ... (i)

And

ß × -3 = k/2 ... (ii)

From i we have

ß = 11/3 + 3

ß = 20/3

Now, put value of ß in ii we have.

20/3 × -3 = k/2

-20 = k/2

k = -40
