p(x)=3x³-x²-ax-45

3 is the zero of p(x)

Therefore, p(3)=0

p(3)=3(3)³-(3)²-a(3)-45

= 81-9-3a-45

=27-3a

Now

p(3)=0

=>27-3a=0

=>-3a=-27

=>a=9
