2x/3 - 50 = 40 + x/4
(2x - 150)/3 = (160 + x)/4
(2x - 150)×4 = (160 + x)×3
8x - 600 = 480 + 3x
8x - 3x = 480 + 600
5x = 1080
x = 1080/5
x = 216
