If 3, k-2, 5 are three consecutive terms of AP, find the value of k.​

Answer:

3, k-2, 5

here, first term(a)= 3

a2 =k-2

a3 =5

difference(d1) = a2-a

d2= a3-a2

if they are in ap then,

d1=d2

a2-a = a3-a2

k-2-3 = 5-(k-2)

k-5 = 5-k+2

2k= 7+5

2k= 12

k = 6
