Question:

If three people can build a house in 60 days, how many people can construct the same building in 20 days?

Answer:

Mathematically, the answer would seem to be 9, but that ignores the fact that parts of construction cannot be accelerated beyond a certain limit by adding manpower. Concrete only sets so fast, drywall mud, paint, tile grout, and other parts of the job usually take a certain length of time before the work can continue.

Considering space for workers, too, can be an issue. You can’t install studs until the foundation and floor is done, you cannot rough in electrical and plumbing until the studs are in place. You cannot hang drywall until the plumbing and electrical is roughed in and inspected (usually)….so throwing a bunch of people at a project can actually slow the process down, rather than speeding it up.

To be fair, with good management and coordination, and using fast setting/quick drying products, you might be able to finish the job in 20 days but if you decide to put the home on the market, I wouldn’t let potential buyers know that you rushed the project that way…

Hope it helps uh mate
