\huge\mathtt{{\colorbox{silver}{ANSWER}}}

\frac{3}{x}  \times \frac{8}{6} \times \frac{12}{9}  =  \frac{4}{3}  \\ =    \frac{1}{3}  =\frac{4x}{3}  \\  = x = 4

\mathtt{{\colorbox{lightblue}{Therefore x = 4}}}

 \frac{2}{7}  \times  \frac{y}{9}  \times  \frac{27}{4}  = 3 \\  \frac{1}{7}  \times  y \times  \frac{3}{2}  = 3 \\  = y \times  \frac{1}{14}  = 1 \\ y = 14

\mathtt{{\colorbox{lightblue}{Therefore y = 14}}}
