The number is 200

Given that,

30 percent of 25 percent of a number is equal to 15

To find : The required number

Process :

Let, the number be x.

So, according to question, we can write,

30\% \:  \times 25\% \times x = 15

We can write,

30\% =  \frac{30}{100}

25\% =  \frac{25}{100}

So,

 \frac{30}{100}  \times  \frac{25}{100}  \times x = 15

 \frac{3}{10}  \times  \frac{1}{4}  \times x = 15

 \frac{3x}{40}  = 15

3x = 15 \times 40

3x = 600

x =  \frac{600}{3}

x = 200
