The balanced chemical equation is:

2 C2H6 + 7 O2 = 4 CO2 + 6 H2

Avogadro's law states that, "equal volumes of all gases, at the same temperature and pressure, have the same number of molecules."

This means that, for a given mass of an ideal gas, the amount of moles and the volume of the gas are directly proportional if the pressure and temperature are constant.

From the equation, we can see that:

2 vol C2H6 react with 7 vol O2 to produce 4 vol CO2 and 6 vol H2O

30ml of C2H6 will require = 7/2 x 30 = 105 ml of O2

Volume of CO2 produced = 4/2 x 30 = 60 ml
