Consider the reaction:

N₂ + 3H₂---->2NH₃

At NTP,

34 g of reaction mixture expected to give=34 g of NH₃

340 g of reaction mixture expected to give=340 g of NH₃

 yield = \frac{obtained product mass\times 100}{Expected product mass}

 20 = \frac{obtained product mass\times 100}{340}

obtained product mass that is NH₃ formed=

 \frac{20\times 340}{100}

obtained product mass that is NH₃ formed= 68 g
