Your Question: If 35% people like math, 25% people like Physics,  15% like Biology, 20% like English , remaining  people like French. If the total no. of people are  1200. Find the no. of students who like each subject.

Answer:

People that like maths: 35% of 1200, = \frac{35}{100} X 1200 = 35x12= 420 people

People that like physics: 25% of 1200, = \frac{25}{100} X 1200 = 25x12= 300 people

People that like biology: 15% of 1200, = (15x1200)/100 = 15x12= 180 people

People that like english: 20% of 1200, = \frac{20}{100} X 1200 = 20x12= 240 people

total people: 1200

so far people mentioned: 420+300+180+240 = 1140

1200-1140= 60 people that like french

Answer:

Maths: 420 people

Physics: 300 people

Biology: 180 people

English: 240 people

French: 60 people
