36 trousers of equal sizes can be stitched with 64 meters of cloth, then the length of the cloth is required for each trouser =64÷36
=64/36
= 16/9
= 1 7/9 meters

no. of trousers=36
length of the cloth=64m
if 34 trousers can be stitch with cloth=64m
then 1 trouser can be stitched with cloth=64/36=1 7/9
